Morane, that’s the new project of Markus Nikolai and Theo Krieger, a collaboration which already proved it’s potential with ‘99 summer hit “bushes"(PERL10). Perlon 34 offers 3 variations of “the trick": A1 (think away) and B2 (think on air) sound like a cooperation of Prince and Kid Creole at their very best time (remember “the sex of it"?). Energetic brass-sections, percussion and pitched vocals form a latin-funk-monster that will heat up prime-time-dancefloors. B1 (think dark) is a reduced, straight electronic mix including vocals that remind us of Yello’s “oh yeah"….dancefloormadness guarenteed!

Edinburgh based producer Gallonigher presents his full EP on Reductive. After his last release in 1999, he is back in force with this true Tech House four tracker, written and produced in 2001. Full send. Distributed by Off The Grid Distribution.
Bari-based producer Frhanks visits Bucharest via Chicago on this organic and entirely distinctive EP for Lisbon label Welt Discos. ‘Bonus Beat’ is a raw blend of jazz and jack trax that leaps straight out of the Music Box to slap you round the face. The extended meditation of ‘Spring’ adorns a minimal groove with delicately plucked improvisation, striking a pastoral mood for the first glimmers of daylight. On the flip, ‘When Is Time To Go Home’ trips along like a late morning walk back to the tent, caught somewhere reassuring between reverence and whimsy.
Taking his place in the great Swiss electronic tradition - peopled by the likes of Carlos Peron, Boris Blank and Grauzone, to name just a few - the Swiss DJ and producer Walid reaches new heights with his highly anticipated proto-techno project "Child of the Waves". These 7 unreleased tracks could be the soundtrack of a B-movie thriller from the 80s. The compositions are full of imagery, using cinematic samples to stimulate the mind’s eye. He makes strong aesthetic moves, choosing to reinforce rather than attenuate the tension and intensity of his themes: the fear of the unknown, of getting lost and of loneliness; a rage for life and hedonism; and above all the darkness of the human psyche. For me, his music recalls the atmosphere I experienced in Zurich in the 80s, sometimes icy, withdrawn, even hostile, but also in the image of Walid himself: reserved, mysterious yet also generous. It's all in his music! Just when you think you are in familiar waters, you listen a little more and realise you very much are not. There's a je-ne-sais-quoi that makes things different and special in his compositions. They sit at the intersection of many genres and sound incredibly fresh to our ears. After several well-received releases under his various aliases, many of us in this milieu were impatiently waiting for him to strike again and confirm the potential already revealed in his previous productions. With this new release, this has been achieved! For me, he is undoubtedly one of the best-kept treasures in the Swiss vaults and an artist to be watched very closely in the coming years. AOP007 sees the return of Ukraine’s Artist Volodymyr Gnatenko. On two of the tracks he collaborates with his friend Kai Noob , leaning on the more experimental side of things. The other two tracks, which are Volodymyr solo work, are for the floor. Also returning to AOP is Warpque delivering another stunning cover for us.
